A potentially dangerous lead contamination has forced New York Wholesale Group to recall its Zaarah Herbals Shatavari Powder across three states. The Hicksville-based company initiated the recall after tests by Connecticut’s Department of Consumer Protection revealed elevated lead levels in the product. The contaminated powder was sold in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut between October 2022 and April 2024.
