World Human Rights Day is being observed on December 10, 2024. At present, there are two conflicts going on. One is between Russia and Ukraine. The other is between Israel, Lebanon and Hamas. Thousands of people are affected by these major conflicts. Complaints about their human rights being violated have been made to UN. The UN Security Council has asked all the warring parties not to violate rights of these hapless people.

Whenever there is a clash between nations, people suffer. Children are the most affected lot. Their education is affected. Women are the second group of people who lose their rights during battle. The family life of millions of persons was disturbed by first and second world wars. Hiroshima and Nagasaki people suffered most due to US bombing during Second World War. There are many deficiencies carried forward by the people hereditarily. The UN is helpless in this matter as its writ has no impact on offending nations. That is why the UN General Assembly declared December 10 to be observed as World Human Rights Day.
