As the year of 2024 slowly comes to an end, the air already smells of Christmas and the whole world cannot wait.
With Christmas around the corner, New York’s Rockefeller Center is ready for its Christmas tree to be all decked up and prepared for the season.
This year’s Christmas tree arrived at the center on Saturday, that is November 9th, from West Stockbridge in Massachusetts.
This tree, which is a Norway Spruce, stands at 74 ft tall and has gigantic dimensions and a gorgeous voluminous crown, weighing 11 tons, perfect for the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree.
This tree was owned by a family and was sourced by the head gardener of Rockefeller Center, Erik Pauze, to whose request the owners readily agreed to give the tree to the Center as a Christmas tree.
The tree is set to look absolutely gorgeous with decorations of thousands of multi-coloured lights and a majestic Swarovski crystal studded Star that sits atop the tree.
Festivities have already begun upon the arrival and erection of the tree at the Center, with fun activities and the tree ready to be all decked up.
The ceremony and activity list is already published, among them the infamous Lighting Ceremony, is set to be on December 4th and it will be broadcasted live.
This tradition of the Christmas Tree at Rockefeller Center began in 1933, and continues till date, attracting not only locals, but also tourists from all over the globe.
