Child car seats are one of the most crucial parts for cars with a child onboard, and a child car seat comes with special mechanisms to ensure child’s safety.

NHTSA has a set of norms and standards for a proper child car seat to make sure that  utmost safety is provided to the child.

There are primarily three types of child car seats - rear-facing infant car seat, convertible car seat and an all-in-one car seat.

It is of extreme significance that instructions for installing a seat are read thoroughly and a fitting seat is chosen for a particular car so that the child's safety is not jeopardized.

Nuna Baby Essentials is a company that designs specially crafted gears for children like child car seats, strollers, travel cribs, baby carriers and so on.

A range of products from this company that dates from July of 2016 to October of 2023 has failed to fulfill the criteria set by NHTSA for a standard child car seat.

This failure has compelled the company to recall more than six hundred thousand Rava child car seats.

The investigation by NHTSA began upon complaints regarding the harness adjustment in a Rava car seat, where if debris enters the harness control button gets loose.
