New Healthy Food Options and Susatainble Tech Upgrades Await Red Sox Fans at Fenway Park
Boston Red Sox fans are anxiously awaiting the new season, and the team’s press conference on Tuesday added to their anticipation with a glimpse of some of the exciting off-season changes at Fenway Park.
Despite a disappointing last-place finish in the AL East last year, the Red Sox have made positive moves during the off-season to improve the team, adding new players while keeping fan-favorite Rafael Devers.
Fans awaiting to attend games at Fenway Park will have access to a variety of new healthy food options, like avocado fries and crabcake sandwiches, and will be able to use AI checkout technology in more areas of the ballpark.
The Red Sox have also reinvented their player and coach locker rooms, adding futuristic LED lighting, lockers with handy built-in charging stations and safe, as well as custom storage units.
In addition to the player and coach locker rooms, Fenway Park has made a new Women’s Locker Room, revamped the tunnel from the Red Sox Clubhouse, and installed an energy-efficient LED field lighting system with sustainability in mind.
Under the new rules from Major League Baseball, Fenway Park has setup new pitch clocks to speed up the pace of games, and larger bases have been installed in the infield to decrease the distance between bases.
The recent upgrades at Fenway Park are part of an ongoing effort to make the historic ballpark more sustainable, as the new LED lighting, improved energy savings, and CO2 emission reduction signal a positive approach.
As the opening day is coming near, fans are excited to see the team’s off-season progress in action and cheer the Red Sox to a successful season.
