COVID Variants XEC, KP.3.1.1 Surge; CDC Shares Updates

In the year of 2020 the entire globe faced a massive crisis with a viral disease called COVID-19, caused by Coronavirus.

Numerous theories evolved as to what caused the rapid widespread spread of the disease, making it a pandemic given its infectious nature.

Lots of lives succumbed to this deadly disease even three years back, hundreds of millions have been diagnosed with this disease and many still go undiagnosed.

This virus, as of 2024 is not as deadly and active as it was in its first three years, it still persists and is constantly mutating.

New variations of COVID 19 that are the XEC and KP.3.1.1 have resurfaced, making people face challenges they did few years back.

Though there are challenges, people are now much familiar and these new variants aren’t as deadly, for COVID-19 as the leading cause of death has fallen from its rank.

However, these variations are not to be ignored, diagnosis is crucial, and in case of positive results one must take proper medication.

Maintaining hygiene is still very important, and although the vaccines aren’t exactly preventive, they can reduce the severity of the disease.

Over the counter COVID tests are now very available, in case of doubt one is suggested to take those tests and consult a doctor respectively.
