Colchester Zoo's Philippine Spotted Deer Have Fifth Calf

One Philippine Spotted Deer calf was born on December 6, 2024; it is the fifth such offspring of parents Autumn and Bongat; for that zoo.

Its general appearance is characterized by a readily visible buff-colored spottedness across its dark brown upper and lower sides.

The calf parents Bongat and Autumn were bred as part of a breeding recommendation to conserve the species.
