Alcon Recalls Systane Ultra PF Eye Drops Due to Fungal Contamination

Alcon Laboratories has begun a voluntary recall of one lot of Systane Lubricant Eye Drops Ultra PF following positive fungal contamination in a sealed vial.

The recall impacts lot number 10101 with an expiration date of September 2025, sold across the country in stores such as Publix, CVS, Walgreens, and Target.

The recall came after a consumer found foreign material in a sealed single-use vial, which laboratory analysis determined to be fungal.

No adverse reactions have been reported so far, but the presence of fungal contamination is of serious concern regarding the quality control measures in ophthalmic product manufacturing
