Areas that experience snowfall need vehicles with tires able to maintain grip without slipping on the snowy grounds, and this ability is usually called snow traction, and it’s extremely important for avoiding accidents.

The NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration), an agency of the federal government of the USA has laid out certain norms, criteria and standards for the snow traction feature to ensure utmost safety.

The recall has affected around hundred sizes of the models - Fortune Tormenta and Prinx HiCountry.

The Prinx tires have qualified Europe’s standards on snow traction, however the standards in America are different and slightly stricter this leading to the brand's failure.

The company is currently focused on preparing a remedy, perhaps an alternative to provide better quality traction to suit America’s harsh weather all while maintaining the safety norms set up by NHTSA.
