The world has again taken one step towards its ever-changing landscape of renewable energy. WAVJA, a US-based company, introduced PES (Photon Energy System). PES is a green energy system that converts light into electrical energy. A set of tiny ball-like structures that are 200 times more efficient than a traditional solar panel.

According to the IEA, solar installations might reach 7300 GW by 2028. WAVJA, a subsidiary of Solmet LCC, has come up with their latest innovation that holds the potential to become a better alternative for solar panels in this case.

PES (Photon Energy System) is their latest innovation that generates remarkable luminosity from sunlight and artificial lighting using specialised spears and multi-layered cutting-edge materials. Where an average solar panel generates the output rating of 250 to 400 watts daily, these tiny spears are around 1 inch to 4 inches. Nearly 30 times smaller yet, they generate 7.5 times output. Becoming 200 times more efficient than conventional solar panels.

Traditional solar panels only work best during peak sunlight hours and are limited by climate conditions, as per Solar Energy World. Regardless of the weather, PES can operate for 8 hours straight. What’s even more surprising is that it can also harness artificial lighting, like LED flashlights, to ensure 24 hours of uninterrupted energy generation. But most importantly, PES has a separate battery system and is not required to be connected to a battery.

Recently, at the product launch and press conference in New York, WAVJA’s president Shereen Chen, and Co-founder Joseph Hu showcased the PES’s capabilities stating: The 3 cm model works best for charging mobile devices, electric vehicles, flying cars, and other electrical equipment like drones. The 6 cm model is ideal for providing power to households, intelligent buildings, and public transport. The 10 cm is designed for industrial factories, commercial buildings, treatment plants, science and technology parks, and more.

The Karmactive team reached out to WAVJA to gain more insights of their ongoing projects.

The WAVJA team graciously replied and gave Karmactive further details regarding the material used and future applications. WAVJA team said “The biggest innovation is that PES can be used both outdoors and indoors. Recycling has been considered from the beginning of the design, so PES is made from all recyclable materials, and it is a truly clean energy.”

When asked about the application of PES in developing countries the WAVJA team quotes “As you mentioned, in developing countries or remote areas lacking power, our first project is an emergency power supply system, which is about the size of a suitcase. It is equipped with a PES multi-group system and consists of a small EMS and a fuel cell. The base is equipped with wheels for easy movement, can be used directly without installation, and can supply all normal electricity for a family. Emergency power supply systems can not only support areas lacking power, but can also be used in hospitals, schools, public facilities, transportation, office buildings, manufacturing plants, AI and data centres, etc.”

Looking at the global climate crisis, WAVJA is currently planning to install PES on drones with fire extinguishing equipment so that firefighting drones can patrol for extended periods of time and extinguish fires as soon as possible. “We are working to design unmanned ships that harness the power of PES to deal with pollutants at sea,” they told Karmactive.

“Our goal is to provide our customers with the highest quality products and services, ensuring stability and accountability in both process and development while also being environmentally beneficial,” WAVJA team added

They aim to improve transportation even more in the future by utilizing PES technology in futuristic flying cars and four-seater taxis. Vehicles equipped with it will operate seamlessly without needing frequent charging breaks, unlike traditional charging methods. According to them, the large PES system will very soon be able to charge electric trucks and cargo delivery drones. ”WAVJA has begun to work with many manufacturers on various projects, such as transportation vehicles for logistics, which will greatly reduce transportation costs. We hope this can slow down the price trend. With electric vehicles and gasoline-electric hybrid vehicles, the PES System can be placed on the front cover and connected to the fuel cell, which can greatly extend the range, reduce driving range anxiety and achieve lower carbon emissions and pollution,” they informed Karmactive.

As the construction industry and architectural design strive for sustainable structures, it is essential to adopt green technology in the new and old buildings. WAVJA has also planned applications in the construction sector. ”In collaboration with a newly developed construction company, we will install PES and plants on the top floor of a new apartment building to form an aerobic environment, ensuring that the building has independent and sufficient power while also reducing the damage of heat radiation. As mobile electricity changes, many new careers are about to emerge, such as Air Taxi, etc,” they explained to Karmactive.

The PES system has the potential to set new standards for ESG in terms of environmental impact. It offers sustainable green solutions to several applications reducing pollution, exploitation of limited resources, and global warming. In fact, it can be really helpful in preventing critical climate crises caused by AMOC, which can disrupt the precipitation and temperature patterns in the northern and southern hemispheres.

WAVJA is focussing on Forest fires and ocean pollution, which are potential problems causing AMOC. ”Our current plan is to install PES on drones with fire extinguishing equipment, so that firefighting drones can patrol for extended periods of time and extinguish fires as soon as possible. We are working to design unmanned ships that harness the power of PES to deal with pollutants at sea. We uphold the attitude of listening to all parties’ opinions and hope that green energy sustainability can help this beautiful planet,” they told Karmactive.

PES is indeed an innovative technology, but the fact that it is new and in its initial phase of debuting the market can be a little challenging for WAVJA. However, very soon the PES system will launch and be available for different sizes and needs in this autumn.
