Citizens Helped Sea Lion Cross The Freeway, Later Rescued! - Karmactive

Everyone on the San Diego freeway were stunned to see a sea lion crossing. Few good samaritans came forward to escort the it across the busy freeway.

Motorists gridlocked their cars on a San Diego freeway, but for a good reason: to rescue a sea lion that wandered off about 6 miles from the nearest body of water. @SeaWorld was called to the rescue, and they say this isn't the first they've been called to rescue him! pic.twitter.com/gGr2BPTvl4

This instance is not the first. In the past, sea lions have lost their way and were found on busy streets in many parts of the world.

Sea World San Diego received many calls regarding the sea lion sighted on the freeway. The San Diego Sea World rescue team responded and used nets to rescue the sea creature. It was safely taken back.

Many have appreciated the help offered by citizens for the safety of the lion.
