Praveen got the second spot in Men’s high jump T64 category with the best jump of 2.07m at the athletics event.

Praveen Kumar is an Indian para-athlete and high jumper, He has claimed a silver medal at the 2020 Paralympics.

Praveen got the second spot in Men's high jump T64 category with the best jump of 2.07m at the athletics event.

Kumar was rejected for admission by the Delhi University because of this disability to play the sport a few years back. However, his mentor did not give in, he contacted higher officials and made sure Kumar gets a chance to prove himself.

Kumar then competed against non-disabled athletes, finished 2nd in trials and bagged a place on Bachelors of Arts course.
