US Independence Day is celebrated wherever US citizens are, but the main events are notable in NYC (New York City) and Los Angeles. The main attractions are the fireworks.
Every year, Americans flock to New York City to witness the grand Macy’s Fourth of July Fireworks display. The event is free of cost for everyone. For the first time since 2023, the July 4th fireworks will be launched from the barges on the Hudson River between 14th and 34th Street.
Los Angeles is also famous for its fireworks. The fireworks show can be enjoyed after a fun MSL game at the Rose Bowl.
In NYC, several public viewing areas with elevated platforms will also be available across Manhattan, Queens, and Brooklyn, subject to limited capacity.
You can watch the dazzling show from the Edge Observation Deck at the Hudson Yards, where a free viewing party will be held this Fourth of July. The event will take place at Public Square and Gardens, allowing visitors to witness the Hudson River fireworks display along with a live broadcast on the 30-foot Big Screen.
NYC’s tallest building, One World Trade Center, is selling tickets for the fireworks display on Thursday from 8 pm to 11 pm.
In Los Angeles, one can experience the picturesque fire and light show above the oceanic view of Marine Del Rey. Disneyland is famous for its fireworks display. Hollywood does not lag behind in these celebrations. The Fourth of July will be celebrated with a three-movie festival followed by the fireworks display.
This year, being a Presidential Election year, there is an added charm of electioneering all over the US. America sends a message of liberty, equality, and fraternity to all the freedom-loving people of the world on this Independence Day. Through free enterprise, anybody can rise to the highest level of one’s ambitions.

New York City,: For the 4th of July 2024 in New York City, there are several exciting events and fireworks displays planned:
- Macy‘s Fourth of July Fireworks: Beginning at 8:00 PM, the renowned Macy’s fireworks display is scheduled to dazzle from the Hudson River. Views of the Hudson River Park are magnificent from spots along it as well as from across the river in Hoboken, New Jersey.
- Nathan’s Well-Known Hot Dog Eating Competition: This competitive eating event, a long-standing tradition, is held at Coney Island from 11 AM to 1 PM. Competitors compete to eat the most hot dogs possible.
- Fourth of July celebrations at the Empire State Building: Providing guests with a first-rate experience and views of the fireworks, the event features music, hors d’oeuvres and an open bar. Generally speaking, tickets cost around $500.
