The Tennesse-based company has just unveiled an all-electric travel trailer called the Coast that’s basically a chic tiny home on wheels with sustainability agenda. The vehicle comes packed with all the technological features you need to make sure you never have to rough it, even if you’re spending some time off the grid.
While some caravan manufacturers seek inspiration from the past, Aero Build is boldly marching into the future. The Coast boasts a sleek and modern design, with a minimalist black and white color scheme. Measuring 18 feet in length (21 with the tow hitch), the trailer features panoramic windows on each side and a built-in retractable awning. Weighing approximately 6,000 pounds, it can be easily towed by electric trucks such as the Rivian R1T or GMC Hummer EV.
What truly sets the Coast apart is its luxurious interior space. Instead of the typical camping trailer, Aero Build’s offering resembles a chic apartment. Despite its compact size, the Coast still offers a spacious sleeping area with a full-size gel memory mattress, a full bathroom with a toilet and spa-style shower, a galley, and a dining area that can double as a sleeping space for two adults. The kitchen area is a standout, featuring a Smeg dual-burner ceramic cooktop, a sink, a 278-liter refrigerator-freezer, ample storage, and even a hide-away bar rack. With two flat-screen TVs and Starlink WiFi, the Coast provides a lavish, tech-savvy living experience on the road.
Powering the Coast’s extensive range of amenities is a robust off-the-grid energy system, consisting of an 810-Ah lithium-ion battery bank and two 3000-W inverters (via New Atlas). The powerful battery is aided by 1,360 watts of roof-mounted monocrystalline solar panels, but shore power can also be utilized if necessary.
