Lidl Recalls Chocolate Pretzels Over Mouth Burning Reports

A burning sensation in consumers’ mouths has triggered an urgent product recall of Lidl’s chocolate-covered pretzels. The German supermarket chain’s UK division has pulled two varieties of their Alpenfest Style Salted Mini Pretzels from shelves nationwide. The Food Standards Agency (FSA) identified both milk and dark chocolate versions of the 140g pretzel packs as potentially unsafe.
