Google has revealed plans to collaborate with a local Finnish energy company to utilize waste heat from its data center for regional heating. Previously, Google had been reusing this waste heat internally, but with the expansion of the data center, it will now be provided externally, covering an estimated 80% of the region’s annual heating demand.
