NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang quantified Gefion’s impact: “Gefion is going to be a factory of intelligence. This is a new industry that never existed before. It sits on top of the IT industry. We’re inventing something fundamentally new,.” The DGX SuperPOD architecture implements NVIDIA’s Quantum-2 InfiniBand networking, enabling coherent data processing for quantum circuits.
The 600 million Danish kroner ($87M) from Novo Nordisk Foundation plus 100 million kroner ($14.5M) from EIFO translate to a 15% ownership stake. DCAI’s CEO Nadia Carlsten cited the six-month deployment time from announcement to completion.
