Circle K has opened its biggest electric car charging station in Järna, southwest of Stockholm. The new station spans 30,000 square meters and offers 26 ultra-fast charging points for both regular and heavy vehicles.
“Our customers are at the heart of our eMobility journey at Circle K. Our newest location in Järna represents our commitment to making our customers’ EV journey as easy and convenient as possible,” says Hans-Olav Høidahl, EVP European Operations and Global eMobility at Circle K.
The station brings new features based on what customers asked for. It has a covered charging area with solar panels, benches where people can sit while charging, and atmospheric lighting. Drivers can even order food and drinks without leaving their cars – staff will bring it right to them through the car-side delivery service.
Safety got special attention too. The station has clearly marked crosswalks and a drive-through design that makes charging faster and more convenient. For drivers who still use regular fuel, the station offers all types of standard gas – making it useful for everyone.
With more electric vehicles on Swedish roads, Circle K is responding to the growing need for charging infrastructure. The new station provides both a charging solution and what they call “a complete retail experience.”
