TS Food Packaging has recalled their bacon seasoning products after finding soy in them that wasn’t listed on the label. The recall, announced on January 24, 2025, affects both “Rural King” and “Wabash Valley Farms” brands sold across the country in stores and online.

The problem started when a supplier changed an ingredient without telling the company. This new ingredient contained soy, but no one caught this during the regular safety checks. For people with soy allergies, eating these seasonings could cause serious health problems, from mild reactions to severe allergic responses that need immediate medical help.

For people with soy allergies, reading product labels carefully helps them avoid harmful ingredients. A missing ingredient on a label can lead to serious health risks.

While no one has reported getting sick from these products yet, the company isn’t taking chances. They’ve already started fixing their checking system to make sure this doesn’t happen again. Think about food safety like following a recipe – every ingredient needs to be listed correctly to keep everyone safe.

The company is asking anyone who bought these seasonings to bring them back to the store for a full refund. Those with questions can call 262-763-9434 between 8 am and 4 pm (central time) or email [email protected].

The FDA shared this recall notice as a public service. The company has put corrective actions in place to prevent this from happening again.

This recall shows why food safety checks matter. When companies know exactly what’s in their products and label them correctly, everyone can make safer food choices. For families dealing with food allergies, clear labels aren’t just helpful – they’re essential for staying safe and healthy.
