Provocative Art Made From Daily Trash Pablo Llana is a contemporary artist, based out of Tijuana, Mexico. He had been publishing artworks since 2010. His work sculptures are upcycled from food-products waste such as wrappers, boxes, cans, zippers and more.
Using the wrappers of junk-food products as raw material, he points towards a political reflection, by tightly joining the critical and social senses. The result: pieces rich in texture, whose colour palette comes from the plastic discards of poor nourishment; individual consequences of capitalism and without a doubt one of the scourges of the 21st Century.
“We are victims of the out-of-proportion consumerist society” says Pablo Llana. Pablo’s art is a reflection of our times and evident ignorance of our societies. Certainly makes you pause and rethink.
