A routine family dinner turned alarming when customers found metal pieces in their frozen taquitos from Aldi. Bestway Sandwiches Inc. is now recalling nearly 25,000 pounds of Casa Mamita Chicken & Cheese Taquitos after one person reported a dental injury while eating the contaminated food. “The problem was discovered after the firm notified FSIS that it received a consumer complaint reporting that a piece of metal was found in the frozen chicken and cheese taquito product,” states the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS).
