Honda is gearing up to electrify the vehicle market, quite literally. At CES 2024, scheduled for January 9-12 in Las Vegas, they’re unveiling their new global EV series. It’s not just another car show presentation; this is Honda staking its claim in the EV universe.

The company’s Global Brand Slogan, “The Power of Dreams – How we move you,” isn’t just fancy words. Honda’s driving at something bigger: mobility that pushes past time and space, enhancing human capabilities and possibilities. This isn’t just about getting from A to B; it’s about expanding what A and B can be.

With an eye on 2050, Honda’s zeroing in on carbon neutrality for all its products and corporate activities. Electrification’s the key, with an ambitious goal to make EV and FCEV sales 100% of its global sales by 2040. That’s a hefty target, but Honda’s not known for shying away from a challenge.

At CES, alongside their global EV series, Honda will display technologies reflecting their significant transformation towards electrification. The spotlight event? The press conference on January 9, 2024. Toshihiro Mibe, Honda’s Global CEO, and Shinji Aoyama, the Global EVP, will be the main acts, unveiling Honda’s vision for an EV-driven future and the premiere of the new EV series.

So, what’s the big picture here? Honda’s not just jumping on the EV bandwagon. They’re reimagining mobility, targeting carbon neutrality, and redefining their role in the automotive world. It’s a strategic pivot, aligning with global shifts towards sustainability and technological innovation.

This move mirrors a broader industry trend. Remember when Tesla shook the market with its electric models? Or how Volkswagen’s Dieselgate scandal turned into an electric rebirth? Honda’s stepping into an arena where the stakes are high and the competition is fierce. But they’re not new to this game; they’re simply playing a new hand.
