Loki Expeditions is turning back to its roots and returning to its original purpose of converting shipping containers into living spaces, but this time with a twist. The company has recently launched its most rugged and luxurious build yet, the Discovery Series. This vehicle is the perfect combination of luxury and adventure, taking you on an unforgettable journey with all the comfort and style you need.
Each build of the Discovery Series is paired with a medium-duty truck chassis and a rectangular cabin that measures 16 or 20 feet in length. It’s not just any shipping container on wheels, but it’s close, and the company has outfitted the vehicle with all the gear you’ll need for off-roading adventures. This includes aluminum brush guards, LED lights, cargo boxes, and an onboard air compressor. The vehicle also comes equipped with a 360-degree camera, so you can reverse and change lanes with confidence.
The interior of the Discovery Series is what sets it apart from other expedition vehicles. The clean and modern décor is illuminated by large double-glass windows, a skylight, and dimmable recessed lighting fixtures. It has all the amenities you need for a weekend getaway or a longer road trip, such as a kitchenette with an induction cooktop and large fridge, an entertainment area with a large U-shaped leather banquet, a wet bath with a cassette toilet, and a dedicated bedroom big enough for a queen-sized bed. The space is roomy enough to sleep up to six adults, and there’s ample storage throughout the vehicle.
Keeping the entire vehicle and its many features running is a 2000-Ah lithium power bank and 1,520 watts of solar power. A 1,000-watt inverter and charger are also included, so you can keep things running outside the vehicle as well. The vehicle also has a 140-gallon fresh water tank, a 60-gallon grey water tank, on-demand water pump, and UV purifier, making sure you have access to clean water at all times. To make sure you stay warm during the coldest of winter nights, the vehicle is equipped with four-season insulation, heated floors, and a hybrid diesel heater.
Loki is now taking reservations for production slots through its website. Although pricing information is not publicly available, a $5,000 deposit is all that’s required to reserve your dream expedition vehicle.
