The 7X is similar in dimensions to the seven-seat Kia Sorento but fits only five people instead of seven, giving passengers more space to stretch out.

The basic version drives the rear wheels and can go from stop to 100 kilometers per hour in 5.7 seconds - quick enough to safely merge onto highways or pass slower traffic.

The car offers two battery choices- the smaller 75kWh battery lets you drive about 605 kilometers and the 100kWh battery extends that to 780 kilometers.

The 7X can power up quickly at public charging stations as the smaller battery fills from 10% to 80% in about 10.5 minutes, while the bigger one needs 15 minutes.

The car’s dashboard has 3 screens, including one that projects driving information onto the windshield and also includes two wireless phone chargers and tri-zone climate control.

Safety features include advanced LED headlights that adjust their beam to avoid blinding other drivers, and special sensors that help prevent accidents.

Zeekr plans to sell 2,500 - 3,000 cars in Australia this year and while they haven't announced prices, the 7X will compete with other premium electric SUVs like the Tesla Model Y.
