Ancient Chinese Tomb Yields 350 Artifacts

Henan province in China recently saw an incredible discovery where a five thousand years old tomb was unearthed by a team of archaeologists.

This tomb belongs to the prehistoric era of an ancient Chinese King among the Wangzhuang ruins, which belongs to the Dawenklou culture

The tomb was ruined with evidence of previous loot, like the main body is gone along with what is presumed to be many artifacts.

The discovery however provides some skeletal remnants and more than three hundred artifacts have been resourced from the same.

This site of Wangzhuang is believed to be a historical kingdom and the size and remnant wealth/artifacts of the tomb has raised speculations and interest.

The tomb is quite grand, and the burial site is elaborate with an outer and an inner coffin and covers an impressive size.

The tomb was full of rich artifacts like pottery, jade ornaments, bone tools and other animal remains like pig mandibles.

Most importantly, the findings give an insight about the cultural exchanges between ancient China and other regions.

Wangzhuang ruins are enriched with historical remnants, in fact more than forty tombs were unearthed in this year itself.
