Lay's Recalls 6,344 Bags of Classic Chips for Undeclared Milk Allergen

Frito-Lay recalls 6,344 bags of Lay's Classic Potato Chips over undeclared milk allergens found in select Oregon and Washington retail stores and e-commerce platforms.

Recalled 13-ounce bags feature "Guaranteed Fresh" date of February 11, 2025, with manufacturing codes 6462307xx or 6463307xx and UPC code 28400 31041.

Consumer contact prompts urgent recall action as undeclared milk allergens pose life-threatening risks to individuals with severe milk sensitivities.

Products were distributed to select retail stores and e-commerce distributors in Oregon and Washington, with consumers able to purchase as early as November 3, 2024.

FDA collaborates with Frito-Lay while monitoring the situation, though no allergic reactions have been reported as of December 18, 2024.

Consumers with milk allergies must immediately discard affected products and contact Frito-Lay Consumer Relations at 1-800-352-4477 for refunds.

Other Lay's products, flavors, sizes, and variety packs remain unaffected by this limited recall announcement.
