Air India is a popular name when it comes to airlines in India, and it is the flag carrier of India with its primary base being Indira Gandhi International Airport, Delhi.
It was founded in 1932 by J.R.D Tata, and was then known as Tata Airlines. This airline was nationalised after the second world war in the year of 1953, and was thus renamed.
Air India covers a large number of destinations, as of this year this airline covers more than hundred international and domestic spots.
With the increasing demand of travel by air, Air India had started expanding itself for a while now.
The airline has ordered hundred new air crafts from Airbus this year, adding to the previous year order from Airbus and Boeing, making the total order numbers above five hundred.
Airbus is an European aerospace corporation which is essentially an aircraft manufacturer with its primary focus being designing and commercial manufacturing of aircrafts.
Air India ordered for aircraft series A350s, A320s; primarily A321 neos. These are few of the most advanced aircraft series with amazing efficiencies.
Both the series have been made extremely environmentally friendly with fifty percent noise reduction and a significant amount of lesser carbon dioxide emission.
Air India has faced lots of financial crises and obstacles, however they still live on and have gone into expanding themselves, deliveries of the orders are predicted to be in 2025.
