The need for music, literature, dance, drama, and other pastimes are creative things in one’s life. Education tries to satisfy most of the desirable objects in our lives. The whole gamut of life revolves thus beyond the basic things of life. Games and sports are for our physical fitness.
But for our mental health, we require all the creative factors. Many people cannot survive without seeing a beautiful painting. Some others take to canvas. Out of this passion, a Mona Lisa is born. Beauty changes its forms every moment. It is also said that beauty lies in the beholder’s eyes. Great singers and musicians spend hours together to create new harmonies and ragas.
Life is like a rainbow. Sometimes you are happy. Most of the time, a person does a routine sort of work to earn a livelihood. But after that he looks for something eternal. That is the call of the soul.
Music, dance, and drama fill one’s heart with joy. John Keats says that a thing of beauty is a joy forever. Our entire lives are governed by the trinity of truth, auspiciousness, and beauty. Satyam, Shivam, and Sundaram are worth striving for.
