The first teasers of the production-spec Kia EV3 have been released ahead of its global debut scheduled for May 23, 2024. The EV3 is likely to make its way to India. When launched, it will be positioned below the Kia EV6 in the brand’s electric portfolio. The teaser images showcase the EV3’s exterior design, highlighting its bold, geometric, and robust aspects. The dynamic styling of the vehicle is also emphasized in these images.

The EV3 boasts boxy rear fenders, a tailgate, and signature Star Map lighting, contributing to its unique identity. In essence, the EV3 will be an all-electric derivative of the Kia Seltos. Hence, a market launch in India could well be on the cards. The teaser images indicate that the EV3 will borrow visual elements from the flagship EV9. Kia is expected to offer the twin-display comprising the touchscreen infotainment and a digital driver’s display.

Kia has been tight-lipped about the powertrain specs offered in the EV3. The South Korean carmaker is likely to offer a 40-45 kWh battery pack. It will offer a range of approximately 400 km on a single charge. It is expected that the EV3 will be assembled at the company’s Anantapur facility in Andhra Pradesh.

While the EV3 is an electric SUV, the EV4 takes a different route; it is a crossover electric sedan-style vehicle. Kia aims to broaden its EV range to include affordable options for the masses. A comprehensive range of equipment has been promised with the EV3.
